🎶Workshop: “Performing Turkish Folk Music”
A participant who participates in this workshop will understand the subtleties of performing Turkish Folk Music. If the participant is an amateur, he/she can take part in amateur choirs when he/she leaves the music village, and if he/she is already in the village, he/she will be more confident in presenting his/her individual performance.

Who is Bahar Almaç?
She is a graduate of Ege University State Turkish Music Conservatory. She completed her master’s degree in the Department of Traditional Turkish Music at Aydın Adnan Menderes University Social Sciences Institute and wrote a thesis titled “Change and Transformation in Turkish Folk Music Ensembles from the Voices of the Homeland to Today: The Example of the Izmir Region”. In addition to performing bağlama and vocals, she is also a choir conductor. In this respect, she stands out as an artist and educator. Almaç, one of the founders of İzmir Music Academy (İZMA), currently trains and directs the Konak Municipality and Buca Public Education Center Turkish Folk Music Choirs, and serves as the external producer of the "Zeybekler ve Efe Türküleri" program on TRT İzmir Radio and as a vocal artist in the Yurttan Sesler choir.
