🎶Workshop: “A Rebetiko Journey; HARMOLIPI”
In this interactive workshop, participants will be able to find the Turkish-Greek population exchange and the pre-1922 and post-1922 period, its sounds, moments, people and lives, Hasapiko and Zeibekiko dances and their exits that smell of history, the artist’s most beloved Mikrasiatiko, Smyrneiko and Rebetiko songs from his old and new albums, their true stories, documents and photographs. It is a history-culture-art show by the artist.

Who is Evrim Ateşler?
He is a Turkish multi-instrumentalist and soloist born in Izmir. The musician, who plays multiple Western and Eastern instruments (keyboard instruments such as piano, accordion, stringed instruments, guitar, bouzouki, cura, oud, baglama, bass, wind instruments, clarinet, ney, kaval and all percussion instruments), has specialized in traditional Greek music styles for 20 years of his 30-year career. He is one of the best artists in Turkey who interprets the repertoire of Asia Minor songs “Mikrasiatiko” from the multi-Anatolian culture spectrum, Izmir and Istanbul urban music formats “Smyrneiko” – “Politiko” and “Rembetiko”, also known as “Greek Blues” music all over the world, and is an active composer and arranger for theater plays and cinema projects. Throughout his musical life, the artist, who has harmoniously blended Eastern and Western influences and has constantly developed his own unique style of interpretation, has been involved in Valise the World Music, Neabanda New Sound of the Mediterranean, He has successfully signed the projects Arhondisses, Paragraf, Harmolipi Rebetiko Volume. He founded the Okeanos Greek Music Ensemble, the performance record-holder orchestra of today, in 2007 and continues to successfully serve as the Director of Culture and Art Projects between Turkey and Greece.

In his career, he has successfully signed 10 album production projects, 6 art projects, 1 seminar program and 2 patented musical instruments.
