🎶Workshop: “Oud Education for Beginners”
A person who attends this workshop will get to know the oud instrument. They will establish relationships with notes and the places of one-octave notes on the oud’s fretboard and will do tuning studies. At the end of the workshop, they will be ready to learn how to play the oud and receive regular distance or face-to-face training.
🎤Seminar: “Transmission of Musical Tradition in the Example of Oud Education”
In this seminar, Birer will share some of his views with the participants, based on his experiences and the problems he encountered while working with amateurs on oud education. The seminar is planned to be an interactive event with questions and answers.

Who is Güvenç Birer?
He graduated from the Department of Basic Sciences of Ege University State Turkish Music Conservatory in 2007. He is the founder of İzmir Music Academy, İZMA Music Production & Organization and 4962 Studios. He is an oud instructor and continues to serve as an artistic director in various Turkish Music choirs. He is the Izmir & Bremen Sister City Project Music Events Izmir Coordinator.
